How well did it work out for CNN to divert RNC news to the great hurricaine story?

Two days of poor CNN "reporters" standing around New Orleans with rain slickers and microphones hyping the second coming of the storm of the century and nothing. Just the typical, seasonal storm from the Carribean. Was it George Soros, TimeWarner, CNN management or what? They are so pathetic. Now, Larry King can report on the storm tonight, yuk!

  1.   Well considering that there has been very little RNC news to report yet, I think it worked out pretty well for them.

  2. Right you are. So now that the storm has been downgraded to a Category 2 how about the Republicans get back to their convention and stop trying to make political points regarding the Hurricane so CNN has a convention to report on?

Not to mention Fox, NBC, ABC, CBS, all also have been doing special coverage of the hurricane.

  3. I was thinking the exact same thing!

  4. Note that Bush canceled his appearance at the GOP convention to attend to Gustav.  Of course, that was probably a great benefit to McCain not to have Bush appear.

Gustav seems to be more important to the GOP than their convention so why shouldn't CNN cover it also.

  5. You seem to think category 3 hurricanes are just typical and seasonal storms? Its a major event, dude. Your pathetic ruse to explain why Bush and Cheney won't be at the Republican convention. I also like how your religious right fanatics got screwed by God who sent the storm to the wrong place at the right time. What comes around goes around. You can fool the people but you can never fool God.

  6. Any hurricane pointed at New Orleans is a lead story, courtesy of Bush and Brownie bungling Katrina.

  7. maybe you'd enjoy fox news...they're coverage of the rnc exploiting gustav for political gain is outstanding

  8. Anything to displace reporting on the new VP choice! Any misdirection they can find will suit them! CNN is in the back pockets of the DNC completely! If their broadcasts were to be any more slanted they would fall off the screen!

  9. I don't know, I like my news unbiased so I don't watch CNN.

  10. The very same CNN you are accusing just featured a two-hour documentary on Saturday titled "McCain: Revealed" (from his childhood to the present). It was shown four times on Saturday. And for two days before that, CNN was reporting nonstop on the anticipated announcement of McCain's VP choice (that was still a mystery at the time). What do you say about those coverages?. Diverting the news?.

How laughable that McCain used Gustav for political motives by making a nationwide address out of it (as if he was the president). By the way, where's George Bush?. He is the incumbent leader. He is the one supposed to be addressing the nation on calamities such as this.

  11. With all due respect, covering a storm that effects so many people is more important than covering the RNC, so it is working out great for the people who have family and friends down in that part of the country.

  12. I THINK YOUR A LITTLE BITTER BECAUSE ALL THE ATTENTION WAS DIVERTED FROM MCCAIN AND THE REPUBLICANS CONVENTION BY ALL THE MEDIA NOT JUST CNN , FOX NEWS . MSNBC . NBC ,CBS , ETC.. LMAO
