  1. I was serving jury duty and at the jury selection a young lady wearing old jeans and flipflops was singled out by the judge and scolded for being disrespectful to him and court system. The legal system is deserving of respect and you should dress accordingly.

  2. Dress well enough that you are not arrested for indecent exposure.  There tend to be a lot of police officers who mill about court houses, and they're going to see whatever you wear.  So -- at least while you're there -- keep it modest.

  3. You should wear business casual, like the others said - something you would wear to church or a job interview.

  4. Big difference between faded torn blue jeans and spiffy black dressy looking ones.  Go with the latter, leave the former in the hamper.

Forget about shorts, flip flops, cutoffs.  A  shirt with a pair of slacks, khaki or said dressy jeans should be fine.  Take a jacket or sweater along because you know the A/C will be on high during this time of year.

  5. Whenever I had jury duty I wore 'business casual.'  (Slacks and a button-down shirt.)

Remember that how you dress affects how seriously people take your opinions.

  6. I would dress comfortably, but be respectful of where you are.  I would say khakis and either a button down or polo shirt.  Both clean and pressed should do it.  I would leave the jeans in the closet.

  7. Like you are going to Church.  You may get chosen for trial that day. Yes, you can wear jeans.

  8. Either dress casual, or jeans. No shorts, tank tops, t shirts, flip flops etc. Bring plenty of singles or change for the vending machines. About mid morning when the court sessions begin you will get some activity. They will call you and a group of others into a court room and begin the process of weeding out the undesirables. It is very interesting and a good experience for you. Enjoy

  9. If you wear anything that is black, they can arrest you for contemp of court.

  10. sure, jeans and polo shirt would be just fine.

  11. no jeans
