  1. We love them and tested them last winter - space heating as opposed to running the whole house heat (and drying the air out as well).  Result?  More comfort and MUCH lower electric bills!

See the following web page on the Top Ten Tips to Save Energy in your home for more great ideas:

    Hope this helps!

  2. Converting electricity to heat is rather efficient so efficiency is not much of an issue.

I have an apartment that used baseboard but I later added a gas wall furnace for great savings. The trouble with standard baseboard, particularly my large ones, is that the temperature was harder to control and would very from hot to cool too much. If I left it on long enough it would even out.

The oil filled warm up more slowly and give off heat over a longer period of time so it evens out the heating making it easier to control. That is the purpose of the oil.

So they are a good idea and better than just a standard space heater that uses an element and a fan.

    Good Luck.

  3. I love my heaters.  Delonghi is the better brand. Don't get the real high dollar ones that look like baseboards htrs. They are not as good. These stand up radiator looking ones are good in room heating but you may need several for diff rooms.
