Menu is a place on a pc from where the user can execute most of the important soft-wares/files etc.menu can also be customized,there more programs could be added or deleted.

Icons are a shortcut/small picture represents of a program which usually are present at the menu.

Windows is the operating system with which we are running the pc.

eg - windows xp,windows 98

Desktop has two meanings one is the pc itself,another is the customized menu of a pc.

I don't know Pointing Device,sorry :)

Scroll bars are of two types horizontal and verticall they are used to view a size of a screen which does not fits the monitor screen.
