Well if your a girl its a little different. I have mostly guy friends so they all do that kind of stuff in front of me. It just depends on if you feel comfortable enough in front of them to do it or not. The definite point you know when you can do it though is if the other person does it first in front of you. That pretty much clearly states that yall are on that type of compfort level. :)

Family members usually feel alright farting in front of each other, but it depends on the family.

As for "announcing #2", I suppose that's only necessary if you need to let someone know that the bathroom is airing out lol. I'd say it's okay with family and close friends.

omg never. EVER. i've been with my bf for 2 years and he farts around me all the time but i have NEVER and will NEVER do the same. its different for guys though. don't ask why it just is. why would u want to announce that you have to sh*t? keep that sh*t to urself hun.
