Try to play richer chords in your chorus.  If you're only gonna have acoustic guitar and vocals, the chorus comes off as weak with just power chords and vocals.  It's a good start and it's not easy at all to sing and play at the same time. Maybe try to record guitar and vocals separately and mix them.  Audacity or Cubase Le will let you do this.  you just record the guitar, and then sing over it and record.  I haven't even tried singing, so I don't have the right to comment.  But you should try to learn some more chord voices and really let the low end of the chord mix with the high strings. Incorporate your B and E string more frequently in your chords.  It helps ring out the sound and makes it sound full.
