The Lions are now 3-0 in preseason play and looking better than usual. The experts however have them slated as finishing 4th in the NFC north and doing worse than they did last year.

  1. I see no reason that the lions won't win the division this year. With Favre gone the packers out of the mix. THe lions have had success over the bears the last 2 years, and they split with the vikings last year. Plus the lions passing game is more efficient now that they have a blanced running attack. I see the lions going 11-5 and winning the division. By the way I ahve been a lions fan ever since i was born.

  2. Well there three and Oh and there starters are looking really good.

Still, having been with the lions for so long, theyll find a way to blow it.

  3. Coming from a Saints fan, I see the Lions suprising alot of folks this year...I think it's cool too...I'd love to see them do well.  Just don't mistake this for hoping for a superbowl run...I gotta go with my boys for the NFC representation in the big one.

  4. Yeah the Lion's have a legitimate shot at third place in the division. Keep in mind the Packers are returning 20 starters from a 13-3 team from a year ago. The Vikings added sack king, Jared Allen, to an already dominate defense. On top of that they have a brutal schedule. They Play the AFC and NFC South. I don't see any of the games against the AFC as winnable. Their worst team, the Texans, went .500 last season in the toughest div. in the league. The NFC South is much improved too, with the return of Jake Delhomme and the addition of Jeremy Shockey, not mention the Bucs a playoff caliber team. Start looking for them to put a bid in on the Tim Tebow challenge.

  5. Preseason means nothing.  They will fight it out with Chicago for 3rd in the NFC North and miss the playoffs yet again.

Every year we see very good teams win 0 or 1 games in the preseason because they play all their backups to get them some game experience.  Or teams winning 3-4 games because their starters are in longer than other teams only to end up with only a few wins.

They will go 8-8 or worse as usual.

Sid - There is no way the Lions win the division.  They did nothing to improve beyond running the ball a few more times a game.  The Packers return the same team with a new QB.  They have a ton more talent.  The Vikings will run all over the Lions you just watch.

  6. the will do ok.. i will give them a 10-6 record
