Me & My boyfriend have s*x with out protection because I'm on birth control. I don't take it at the same time everyday but i do take it everyday, im get nauseated when i eat and i only take a few bites then i feel too sick to eat. When we left to Hawaii i had a few hours of sleep and woke up and threw up, would any of this be related to pregnancy or anything else? please let me know. and because of me taking my pill at different times does it mean that its less effective?

  1. Birth control is less effective if you take it at different times.  Plus you are more likely to skip a pill, making it even less effective.

Birth control tricks your body into thinking it is pregnant.  If your body thinks it is pregnant then you don't ovulate.  If you don't ovulate you can't get pregnant.  But it only works if you are consistent.

Your symptoms could be pregnancy....could be food poisoning.  But since you don't use any other form of birth control and you take your pill whenever, you should probably take a pregnancy test just in case.

  2. wow you kinda should of asked this before you had s*x haha reeree

you still need a condom like NEED man,

  3. You need to take a pregnancy test. Taking your pills at different times could make them less effective. But the only method of birth control that is 100% effective is abstinence. So even if you are on the pill, you could still get pregnant.

  4. My aunt wasn't supossed to have my cousin, didn't work.

SO she ended up with my cousin instead, at the time: good, Now: poor her....

  5. B.C. is 99.9% effective. Your sickness might be related to several things. It can be a cause of the B.C. your taking. Have you had these symptoms before?  It can also be because you have jet lag and trying ot get back on track(body balancing itself out.)  Or, You could be pregnant. B.C. should be taken around the same time every day. Some help that timing by taking it when they wake up, when they eat lunch, when they take other vitamins, when they got to bed etc. It should be like brushing your teeth a habit you always do. Has your smell heightened? Your breast more tender? You have to urinate a lot? If you answered yes to at least two of these questions with the combination of feeling sick and vomiting you can very well be pregnant. If this is the case try a test when you first wake up in the morning( the best way to get better results). Lets not freak out over nothing. If you have any questions feel free to ask at any time. Let me know if you need anything? Good Luck!

  6. You HAVE to take your birth control at the same time every day for it to be effective. This is absolutely essential. The pill is basically estrogen, it raises your hormone level to trick you body, making it think that it's pregnant. It makes your body hostile towards any unknown material, ie, sperm. Even if you ran out of birth control, you should still be using condoms. You could very well be pregnant b/c you aren't using the pill correctly. Didn't your doctor explain this to you when you asked for a prescription?

  7. Yes taking your pill at different times can mean that is is less effective.  You should take a pregnancy test.

  8. you need to take it continuously in order for it to work. a day here or there won't be too bad, but i wouldn't risk it. there's different brands of pills out there. if the stuff you're on now makes you sick, ask the doc for a different brand. Or there's the patch or the shot.
