How well does a punching bag give you a workout?

i have a punching bag and i want to lose weight so i am wondering if a punching bag gives a upper body and lower body work out

  1. It depends on how hard you push yourself.


  2. It helps your punching technique

  3. it will give you a full body workout if you push yourself and put your legs into your punches then it will work on your legs your midsection your arms your chest and your shoulders and back

  4. If you want to get both an upper and lower body workout with a bag, put your legs into the punches and combos you throw at it.  Also, "dance" around the bag as you throw blows at it; sort of like jinga, as opposed to just standing in one spot or taking a couple steps here and there.
