How well does anyone know about Antique Horse Toys?

My family has this fairly large sized metal horse toy. It stands about 3 feet tall and 3 feet long. It has metal pedals on the side and as a child pushes down on them the horse "scoots" along the floor on wheels attatched underneat the "hoofs"

I was told by my mom that it was a gift given to her great uncle in the 1940;s and that its from Great Britian. and at the time was very expensive.

I'm lookiing to sell it but I have no clue who made it, or how to find research about it. I need some expert help if anyone has a clue about it.

E-mail me if you do, and I will try to get a photo next time I see the horse.

  1. 1939?  Mobo toy horse  (ten pounds) antique (ten pound) toy horse  Mobo, made in England. metal toy.

This is a working, vintage, metal riding horse that was made in England and has the word MOBO on the foot pieces.  It measures approximately 15 inches in width (from foot rest to foot rest), 39 inches from nose to tail and about 35 inches in height.  It sits on hard rubber wheels that are all still round, not worn down and turn.   The mechanism for moving the horse still works -- horse goes up and down and moves forward by pushing on foot rests.    Made in England is stamped on the side.  There are no other indications of manufacturer on the horse.  You can go online to Ebay & buy the original decal if needed. for only a few bucks.   For more information on this look up Antique toys for Machanical toys for mobo toy horse

Online its selling up to top $500.   depending it's condition.   Look it up on ebay.  I have one too.  I'm starting  it off at $100.00   Good luck I hope this helps.
