How well would parkay wood work as a dance floor (in a studio)?

We were worried it may not be slippery enough, so we would be putting a gloss on it to help, but we still aren't 100% positive.

And we're looking at parkay because it's not for an actual studio, so we're looking for something not very expensive to install and etc.

  1. talk to other studio owners and see what they like best. Also Research it.

I think that it would be fine.

  2. It's never the best, but I've danced on several that work very well. And I've competed on portable floors made of parkay blocks.

  3. I find that the ones with the metal strips holding pieces together don't work as well as others...the strips interfere.
