  1. I'm a migrant myself. I immigrated to Australia in 1998 and I was treated very nice. I love the country and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else's. Australia's very multicultural.

The local government helps a lot, they have translations in their general correspondents, helping you when you have to vote, they set up some multicultural events, clubs and assistance.

When I first arrived, I had difficulties speaking and understanding English (I came from an non English speaking background) and decided to take English classes and further my studies in Melbourne, Australia. I joined lots of cultural clubs and assimilated very well with fellow Australians. Now, I work in a job which requires lots of Public Speaking.

I'm proud to be an Australian :-) and cannot wait to support them in Beijing Olympics! Go Aussie!

  2. Which migrants and when - then we can tell you how they were treated. Australia is full of migrants so you have to be specific.

  3. At what time in history?

  4. 24% of the Australian Population was born overseas, a much higher % has at least one parent born overseas. Migrants have been coming to Australia for a very long time.
