  1. workers ?on farms not much, food was plentiful in the farm area's city was different no jobs no money , my granny worked for 30 cent a day not bad uh


  2. Everyone suffered from lack of jobs, no money, no food.....  Well-to-do society families were affected, but the immigrants had it worse because most were of a lower class and poor before they even got here....

  6. The immigrants were greatly affected by the Great depression because when they were trying to find work, there was no jobs. After coming from great distances, they had nothing in  their pockets, they eventually had no food, shelter, they grew extemely sick, and had no relatives to go to for help.

  7. Many came from a place where economic hardships were common, to a place where they were disillusioned by the promise of opportunity.
