  1. The race conditions state that the race is "open to 2yo fillies which were sold or bought in as yearlings, or as 2yos up to the first day of the Newmarket Guineas meeting, for 35,000gns or less before July 1st 2006, or for 38,000gns or less after 30th June 2006."

The weights will have been calculated according to the amounts they were sold at - therefore the most expensive filly is alloted the most weight.

As you say, this is a rare type of race - most auction races are maiden or novice races - not Nurserys.

  2. EXACTLY THE SAME AS ANY OTHER HANDICAP.!!

tHE WEIGHT IS ALLOCATED ACCORDING TO THEIR PREVIOUS RACES.

It is merely a handicap race open to a certain gender that fulfil certain conditions in relation to sales.
