  1. OMG! I loved his speech.  It was amazing and it was something that everyone could relate to.  It was amazing how he didn't dwell on the fact that he had cancer, and was so optimistic about everything.

  2. I was greatly inspired by this man. I have changed my life style in regards priorities especially with my children and wanting to live my life to the fullest. My younger brother was killed a few years ago and that left little joy in my life. When I saw his lecture by accident he just made me have this incredible insight to myself and the desire to live. I use many of his thoughts on how to live your life on myself and with my children. I bought his book and read it often .  To the person who had a negative answer, I am sorry you could not see Randy for what he was. There was no real commercialisation, he was wanting to leave a lesson for his children on how to live your life, as he was not going to be there for them. He became known by an unknown person putting it on the Tube.

Yes there have and are many people like Randy, but I have never been so inspired by another person. I wish that over time his children come to know their father and Jai will learn to smile inside as well as to the world.

  3. So many lovely comments from people.

  4. It's amazing how important life get when you know you are going to die soon.

  5. Not at all.  The entire "last lecture" phenomenom is yet another example of how we here in the USA are so easily taken in by marketing and by mediocrity (American Idol, Miley Cyrus, High School Musical, and the list goes on ad infinitum).  The Last Lecture offers nothing new in the area of life-reflection and motivational speaking. The same platitudes have been given before, thousands of times.
