plane is going to be much more expensive than the train but the train will take a lot more time. look up the price of plane tickets online, as well as train tickets for the same trip. also, to get a better deal for plane tickets, you need to buy them much in advance, train tickets stay the same price no matter when you buy them.

We would suggest by plane. If you have never been up to Northern Ontario don't bother. There really isn't anything to see except lots and lots of trees. Plane would be faster.
