  2. not an antique - just old.  You could refer to it as "vintage" but "antique" is not the right word here.

    If it's one of the post-WWII models with the "violin finish" then you may find it has value as a collectible.  

    The regular finish models are good instruments and if well maintained are pretty good players.  Pan American was Conns student line pre-WWII.  They aren't a Buffet R13 or Selmer Paris though - the old Conns have some intonation issues.

    While many people don't like eBay for various reasons, fact is that there are many collector-buyers on eBay shopping and that is often the best place to sell a vintage instrument.

    They don't have a very high market value.  If the instrument is in good playing condition then you may be able to get best price by selling it locally in the newspaper or through one of the HS band directors.
