How/where could i learn how to DJ?

Question

I am really interested in learning how to disk jockey. I am willing to buy all the equipment, i just need to learn how to...?

well you could do it the way i learned... the hard way by yourself practiceing in your bedroom for hours and hours and hours wich is what everyone needs to do to be a good dj however if you just want ot do weddings and such its much more simple,

what kind of dj do you want to be? a cllub DJ? a turntablist type or a wedding jock my advice is if you want ot be a wedding jock call some wedding dj companies from the phone book see if the need assitants and hook up with them and the dj should show you the ropes .

theres a place called the dj academy that will teach you all you neeed to know, or read some books, you can find them in the libary how to dj etc.  watch vidoes they sell them online or music shops, listen to lots of music when you see or hear a dj spin live watch him like a hawk and listen, buy mix cds of other djs and listen to those hang out at the clubs, and there are tons of online websites that will help, and if you can hang out and jam with other DJs, this is if you want ot do clubs/turntablism and become a real mix DJ
