  1. You can pick up a train anywhere along the Amtrak line which will connect with New York where you can get one which goes to Montreal. Get a rail schedule and you might find one which goes to Montreal without you having to transfer to another train.

  2. There is an Amtrak train, the "Adirondack", from NY Penn Station to Montreal.

I assume you can get to NY City. Amtrak NE Corridor runs from Wilmington DE through Philly to Trenton and NY City.

  3. The Amtrak "Maple Leaf", train # 63 & 64, operate between New York's Penn Station and Toronto. The route seems to shadow the New York turnpike so you can actually board at the nearest city along I-90  (Utica, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, etc.) nearest your location

To purchase tickets for this trip there are certain identifying doctuments you must have for crossing the international border. Call Amtrak at 1-800-872-7245 for more information.
