How & where to monitor Australian Immigration Application Online at DIAC?

Hi, I have applied for Aus immigration through a consultant to DIAC - Adelaide. When I asked him to give me some acknowledgment number or receipt number to check my application status online. They say, its not possible to check the status online for Australian Immigration applicants. Is it True ? Anyone pls help. Thanx

The only applications that can be monitored online are those for Parent's visas. No monitoring is available for any other class of visa. If you had applied directly to DIAC, you would know if you had been allocated a case officer and they can occasionally help with information. You might ask your consultant exactly what they are doing to earn their fee.

Immigration consultants are a waste of time and money and applications take longer with them as they introduce inefficiencies into a reasonably efficient, though overloaded system.
