  1. How wide is Dingo Deans' smile now?

As wide as it can be after beating a depleted French side.

Old man Henry is a joke?

    No.

Two blondes walk in to a bar. They both say "Ouch!"

    That is a joke.

  2. henry is a joke, hate him (And im a kiwi) he should have been kicked after the disgusting thing that was the 07 world cup. Deans is great, look what he did with the crusaders. I actually want henry and his all g**s to loose the deans

  3. If Dingo Deans is smiling then he's put the cart before the horse.

  4. i dont think robbie is grinning at all...hes a pretty humble bloke..at the end of the day the nzrfu is an old mans club...and all they did for deans was lip service. go the abs..but this tri nations..and more so the ozi tests will be huge..with grandad henry having a h**l of a lot more to prove than possibly the best coach in the world needs too. good for you robbie!! give it h**l.

  5. Get over it, Deans has 2003 over his head.

  6. I am still a fan of Graham Henry...the AB's will build on this...they lost the game but they weren't thrashed...

I think Deans is too busy doing his job to be petty....

  7. How can anyone make that assertion yet, without the Wallabies playing a tri nations match. Anyway, considering that the ABs are in a rebuilding phase, it is just part of sport that you are not always going to win everything. It is just unsustainable. Tiger Woods has had dry patches in his career and he says that if you are not improving all the time, you are getting worse because other competitors are out there to overtake you. The moral is that despite the AB dominance in other years, they have currently lost that edge to the Springboks, but remember it is only a snapshot in time. The ABs would be looking to gain the edge again - most AB teams do. That is because NZ rugby is so strong.

I admit I was upset at Henry's reappointment. I do question his integrity but I want to give him a second chance. Brilliant coaches can make serious strategic errors like he did because of faulty mental models or "hubristic thinking". He had a 88% winning record during his time - therefore, he didn't seem to plan and prepare well for contingencies to happen or a 'plan B'. All Blacks coaches must be aware that every other team are also desperate to win the WC, and teams like England have found more effective ways of doing that (ie. turning territory into points) than

    NZ's brand of attacking rugby.

  8. Old man Henry has a better winning record than any All Blacks coach in history except for John Mitchell.

And the springboks beating the all blacks is not the same as the wallabies beating the all blacks.

  9. Next week the smile will be gone, just wait till those Boks start biting & scratching & bullying  those Wallies,

  10. Grinning... more like shunting! Robbie will be mindful of the intense physicality of the last two tests between the All Blacks and boks, pondering whether his boys can sustain such ferocity. He will also be mindful of the closeness of the last test, decided only by some Januarie brilliance, despite the All Blacks being without three of their most influential forwards. They will be back for the Aussie test, though richie's in doubt. So grinning.. far from it cuzzie.

  11. I don't know if he'd be smiling yet cause he has to take a team against the champs now and from a quick look over they will find it a bit more tougher than NZ.  I hope the wallabies do really well in the Tri-Nations but its going to be won or lost in the forwards for them.

  12. I think Deans is too professional to gloat and hold a grudge.

He coaches Australia now and Henry coaches the ABs and everyone should get used to that and talk about rugby not this boring subject.

In other words mate- get over it.

  13. Come on mate one loss and your already yappin on about robbie being greater than henry, the wallabies havnt even played the boks yet they could get thrashed and then who  would be laughing? De villers maybe.

  14. If I have learnt about Deans is that at this stage he wouldn't be grinning.  The Wallabies haven't played the Springboks let alone the ABs.  So no one really knows how the Wallabies are going even after knocking the Irish, just and beating the French C side.

The Wallabies are very much work-in-progress and whether they will adapt enough to the Deans style this year is very much in the balance.  In fact there is a question mark as to whether they even have the cattle at all.

So I guess we will start to see, starting this coming weekend.

  15. Cant really get the jist of your statement? why would robbie deans be smiling? his team still has to tackle the world champs not to mention the ABs who will be realling from the loss and probably have a come back to kick anybodys a$$.

Old man Henry a joke? if anything the joke is on you - atleast hes still got a job.......
