  1. As a Packers fan I'll say he's going to be fine! Probably won't put up the numbers anytime in the next few seasons like Favre did but he has to get used to being the man in charge of the offense now and that'll take some time.

  2. he will do ok, ryan grant is the star of the team now tho

  3. I just hope he doesn't date Jessica Simpson. That could be a big mess!

  4. I honestly don't think the Packers will miss a beat with Rodgers under center.

It is pretty obviouse they wanted Rodgers to start last season, but if they would have done it they would have had a firestorm from both the media and the fans.

It worked out for them, since they made it to the NFC championship.

That's where all this Favre is talking about being "pressured" to retire by the Packers came from.

Rodgers is in the last year of his contract and if the Packers don't get him on the field, he would have gotten tired of the every summer Favre drama and just signed with another team that would let him start after this season.

A big part of Rodgers mental attitude will come from the fans though.

They have already demonstrated that they don't believe in him and don't want him around.

Training camp is the one place he needs to establish himself not only as the starting QB, but as a leader for the team. It's hard to do that with the fans in the background chanting "We want Favre".

If the Packer fans get it together and get over the whole "Favre" drama, and get behind their new starting QB, he should do fine.

If they don't, I wouldn't blame him a bit if he signed with a different team next spring where the fans welcomed him in and supported him.

He is a talented QB, and if he does leave next spring, the Packers are in trouble.

  5. i dont think that aaron rodgers will be better than favre but he will have a ok season probably like 2,500 yards i think the packers lost though they could have easily gone to the bucs and got more they probably should have kept favre he will pass for 4,000 yards and have another mvp caliber season

  6. I think he is not going to do good with the pressure that is on him with the Farve thing so I don't expect The Packers to go far...

  7. Aaron Rodgers will be just fine. I know that it was only one game, but he played well in relief against Dallas last year. He has a solid running back, good defense, and decent wide receivers. They will win about 9 or 10 games. And he will hold his own

  8. He will have better numbers than Favre.

  9. rodgers will be mediocre at best... the packers are expecting this young qb ,granite he has been there learning for 3 yrs, to come in with an unexperienced running back in ryan grant...

hopefully for rodgers he doesnt turn out to be a 1 yr miracle player and can produce still when defensive coordinaters will have a years worth of footage to pick him apart and to prepare for him... if grant can still be a decent back rodgers will have a better year.. but if he fails it will put even more pressure on rodgers and their young recivers who were used to playing with favre... jennings is a good WR but will he be as good when rodgers is his qb... and TE lee will be still be a force without favre... remember he was the backup in miami behind randy mcmicheal thats what he was b4 he had this breakout yr... im not saying favre put this team all on his back last yr but he probably did sew up the loose holes in their offense that rodgers will have a hard time doing while learning to be a starting qb... i honestly believe that the year rodgers came out of cal was one of the worst QB drafts of the last 15 years alex smith anyone? exactly... not GREAT talent out of that draft... if he can manage to keep this job for 2 yrs he maybe a better than average QB but he will not be a probowler... for now lets just see if rodgers can even stay healthy for a full season thats something thats easy from the bench but now with this team under him in the starting role at greenbay he will be pounded down a few times by some d ends and he may just not be able to hold up... hopefully brohm will be somewhat ready to take over if that happens... i would really like the packers to succeed and i would like to see favre succeed... but i think the jets have a better shot than the packers

  10. Good thing is that he has a lot of confidence. Let's just hope he's not a dope like Tony Romo.

  11. Week 1 or 2.

    Breaks leg, out for season.

  12. He will rank it the bottom 7 Qb's in the league. Hide and watch. Remember you heard this, all these crazy Favre haters like the guy at the top will see Theres no way Rodgers will put up better numbers. Favre could play with a high school team and do better. Rodgers needs to go to Wal Mart and buy some SKILLS, I hear their selling them for 1....

  13. Rodgers will be fine at QB. He has the depth at RB behind him and solid weapons at WR and TE. Also the Packers defence will lead them to the playoffs. As for Favre, Jets will go 9-7 at best and miss the playoffs. The AFC is too deep with talent to let a mediocre Jets team get in. Not you mention the defence of the Jets is there weakest link. Favre has the Madden curse against him as well. So, look for Broadway Brett to have a season like he did 3 years ago with high INT numbers. Best thing is, look for the Eli Manning to have a solid year because the media will be up Favre and the Jets ***.
