How will Alexis Sanchez fit in the crowded Barcelona attack? (Part 1)
The former Udinese player, Alexis Sanchez is now officially a Barcelona player and the Chilean man is definitely going to try and make his way into the Catalan first team. The European Champions have been changing their striking trio every year since the
arrival of Josep Guardiola.
Starting from the attacking line-up of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan. The deal involved the swapping of the Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto’o,
who joined the Italian Champions while Ibrahimovic became a first-team http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 player.
With Ibrahimovic joining Barcelona, the attacking trio consisted of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 star Thierry Henry made way to New York Red Bulls the very next season and he barely made any first team appearances
for Josep Guardiola’s team.
Ibrahimovic couldn’t produce extraordinary figures while being a part of Barcelona and Guardiola definitely had other plans as he decided to sign the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 star David Villa. Villa became a definite part of the Barcelona first team while Ibrahimovic joined
AC Milan on a loan deal. Lionel Messi and Pedro Rodriguez paired up with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Villa-c10629 to make the attacking line-up for the Catalans.
The MVPs (Messi, Villa and Pedro) scored the highest amount of goals for the Spanish Champions. Not only did the three of them help Barcelona win the Spanish La Liga for the third time in a row, they also helped the Catalans win the best European club competition
– the UEFA Champions League.
Now the newly signed Chilean star Alexis Sanchez has made way for the Catalans. It is true that Bojan has joined the Italian side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 but Sanchez will definitely try his best to make it into the first team of the Catalans.
Sanchez has scored twelve goals for the Italian side during the previous season. He was Udinese’s major inspiration and he was the reason why they actually qualified for the UEFA Champions League. Now Sanchez is going to show his traits in the Catalan outfit.
Alexis Sanchez is often compared to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629 because of his outstanding dribbling, burst of pace and brilliant body-play. Now with Lionel Messi, Pedro Rodriguez and David Villa already being a part of the starting line-up, it is going to be hard
for Sanchez to make it to the first team in the first season.
Currently, Barcelona’s starting line-up is very well settled. After the arrival of Ibrahim Afellay, the Spanish Champions barely needed any strikers as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bojan-Krkic-c7794, Jeffren Suarez and Ibrahim Afellay used to fill up the benches for Josep Guardiola’s side.
David Villa was mostly substituted for Afellay on the left wing while Pedro Rodriguez made way for Bojan Krkic on the right wing.
Now with Bojan Krkic gone, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ibrahim-Afellay-c16547 can easily come on for David Villa.
The advantage which the European Champions have with such an attacking line-up is the diversity. All the strikers in the Barcelona line-up can perform in all the positions.
