Any thoughts? Maybe she can fill in for the Press Secretary on sick days.

I don't need to ask about her ability to lead of course. Being the mayor of a one moose town and a governor of remote and sparsely populated Alaska for 20 whole months is just too impressive to question.

  1. Oh my gosh, there would be so many opportunities for her to add her breathtaking credentials to the situation, it's hard to narrow it down.

I would have to say she could read the news to John every morning, and edit out all the unpleasant stuff, so he won't get grumpy.

She could start a little newspaper with John's joke of the day featured on the front page, also his pulse rate.

She could write cute little sayings on the place cards at dinners.

    The list goes on.

  2. I agree with you.

  3. She can apply her other skills, such as executive experience, to the task.  What one learns when pursuing a jou"r"nalism degree also includes effective writing, communication, investigation, viewing a big picture and assessing cause and effect and overall impact of a situation on a variety of interested parties.  So she is not applying her degree, she is applying the skills learned while training, performing her jobs and life experiences.

None of us apply our "degree" to the tasks at hand.  The degree is just the paper we receive.

  4. The miracle is that she finally managed to get ANY degree after attending 5 colleges in 6 years, or was that 6 colleges in 5 years?

  5. Maybe she can write John's consolation speech.

  6. Finally! Someone who asks a question that has to do with politics and not about pregnant teens or Palin's hairstyle. Many have asked questions that are irrelevant and stupid. Palin does not have that much experience either, granted she has executive experience as governor but of Alaska! She does not have any foreign policy, international experience. McCain picked her after 1 meeting with her and we have to be frank he is old. Palin could be president and her 'experience' is just like Obama's experience. They really haven't done nothing that makes them worthy of being in the white house.

  7. Maybe the same way the Community Organizer can organize his door bell ringing.

  8. I don't know, but I do know Obama is NOT qualified and has NO experience to be our President

McCain Palin will WIN in 08

By the way, How is the "old" Joe Biden going to apply his 'foreign policy" experience to the economy? Since Obama has NO executive experience running even a "sparsely populated" state or even being a mayor of any town, and Obama "thinks" he can run our country.

  9. A journalism degree may not be too bad for a job that requires you do nothing, and given McCain's opinion on the role of the VP she is well overqualified for the job of waiting.  In fact a journalism degree should teach objectivity, something I would love to see in someone who would be likely to take over as President if John McCain were to somehow win the nomination and not survive in that role.  Unfortunately after listening to her speech when she was announced as VP and her acceptance speech at the RNC, I have come under the direct impression that she was not even a great (or even good) journalist, not being remotely objective, and twisting facts and abandoning reality.  To be certain that I am not just attacking her speech or her credibility, there is a link to fact check her speech from factcheck.org, which has put the benefits of journalism degrees to good use by remaining objective and nonpartisan committing itself to the truth and accuracy for and against all political parties.

  10. I guess the same way that Barack would apply his community organizer skills as the President. Dealing with a community that is not representative of the entire country and winning a Senate seat in an election with a complete unknown to Illinois.

  11. Well, that's hateful.

While the college major can help a person learn about his or her industry, it also shows that one can learn and apply something successfully.

Edit: Yes, hateful. But, disparaging remarks and questions are normal for this site.

Yes, we have a right to information. But, disparaging remarks and questions are detrimental. I have to give Obama credit for not allowing his staff to make such disparaging remarks as you've made. "Mayor of a one moose town"? Please. It was nice to hear that he would fire anyone on his staff who behaved in that manner.

  12. The election has turned into a test of character and charisma.

The people are being trained to vote for personality over ability.

She does have political experience. That seems to all that counts.

Does she have the character to do what she says?

Does she have the ability to do what she says?

Can she attract enough votes to get the job?

Those are the real questions to be asked.

I do not find a degree in communications-journalism with a minor in political science a qualification of the office of president or vice-president. But I do not think that a law degree is either. Being a lawyer is perceived as having the ability to twist any lie into the truth (and vise/versa). I don't want one more lawyer telling me what is right and what is wrong.

Making phone calls to help people get jobs is not the same as taking them into your home.

The character in this election is easy to see.

  13. She's a former beauty queen, so she should be able to talk about peace on earth!

She's a former News Caster, so she's good at reading the TelePrompter.

and the PTA experience will have all moms following her commands.

  14. I imagine she would be able to apply her degree very effectively.
