How will I know for sure?

Sorry, I apologize in advance, a little TMI.

But how do I know what is parts of my mucous plug, or some sort of icky discharge?

I have lost 2 or 3 little bits of what look like, and I can't describe it any nicer, little bits of 'snot' like chunks, that are slightly yellow in colour.

I was checked out a few days ago, and I didn't have any infection at the time, but I don't know how they work, or if I have one currently!

(Keep in mind I have no itching, burning etc)

So, in your opinion (if you know) is this parts of my mucous plug, or some infection I should get checked out!

natural vaginal discharge ranges from white to light yellow and can change in thickness etc. but its always good to check with a dr. just to be sure.

I never knew what was my mucus plug and was not. I really wouldnt worry about what is was as during pregnancy its kinda like your finger nail it is always growing and falling off/out. Just becuase you lost your plug doesnt mean that you are going to go into labor in 12 hours. There is really no formula to determine exactly when you are going to go into labor, (well other than your water breaking becuase you will be induced if you arent doing anything yourself).

I really wouldnt be too concerned about it. If you feel uneasy always talk to your doctor but I really dont think that it is medically alarming.

i had the same kind of discharge when i was around 39 weeks and a week later my water broke, it sounds like the time is coming.

Sounds like you lost it =)

Only be alarmed if it smells bad, itches, burns or is a lot of fluid.  Fluid might mean  your water broke.

With my son I didn't know I lost mine until the doc said there was still a little bit left .... EWWW!

you do need to talk to your doc about this they will check you out and make sure what it truely is.
