  1. I don't think any of them will have an ALL PRO type season. LJ,Parker, and Brown are all coming off of an injury. Maroney could be very good if they would ever give him the ball.

Parker will split some carries with Mendenhall and word out of Pittsburgh is Mendenhall is the odds on favorite to get the most goal line carries. Brown suffered his ACL tear in week 7 last year so there is no way he is fully recovered. That injury generally takes a good solid year to get back in shape so we are looking at mid October until he may be at 100%.

  2. Larry Johnson I expect him to get about 1500 yards and 10-15 TDs this year like back in when he first exploded in the NFL.

Willie Parker will probably get 1200-1300 yards and 5 TDs because Rashard Mendenhall will get the goal line touches as well as an ample of carries because Parker just came back from injury from last year.

Laurence Maroney I expect if and only if Bill Belicheck has any sense in his brain would give the man some touches he would get 1400 yards at least and 10 TDs at least. He was their MVP in the playoffs last year as Brady and Moss got shut down in the postseason and defenses will figure them out   this such as the Chargers and Giants did in the playoffs.

Ronnie Brown if he is 100% like he says will be an absolute stud just like he was last year before his injury and I expect about 1600 yards and 15 TDs for this man.

  3. I agree that all are good solid feature backs, but I see them as being significantly lower than the 2nd tier (Portis, Barber, Gore, etc).

The one with the most upside is Ronnie Brown.  Early reports on his health are really positive, and if this holds true through preseason....look out.

I'd rank Larry next, but people do need to keep expectations in check.  He hasn't looked the same since they lost Roaf and Shields on the o-line and it would be more obvious if he hadn't gotten injured.

Parker is probably next but this is a tough one to figure out.  Is Mendenhall just insurance or is he going to be a goal line vulture?  Time will tell, but if Parker can stay healthy, he's likely to have a very good season.

Finally, Maroney is hard to get excited by, simply because anytime the Pats get inside the 20, Brady starts looking for the end zone.  Maroney may get decent carries, but his TD total will always be sub-par.
