How will McCain help an average Joe American by reducing our dependency on foreign oil ?

Well, he will increase domerstic oil exploration, perhaps endangering the coastlines and pristine forests, and the oil companies will get market price for the oil, reducing the price for average joe not one cent, but making huge profits for the oil companies, leaving average joe to pay for the environmental clean up.

But we might import a little less oil. Is that help?

well he is big into alternative energy. he wants too open up some drilling around the USA and build some More refineries. We are not lacking oil we are lacking ways too produce oils in fuel. thanks too all the tree huggers we haven't built a new one in like 20 plus yrs.

He won't. He has no intention of doing anything to help people only business. That's the way Republicans are, they only care about money.

He'll spend millions of tax dollars and deflate our currency to provide "incentives" to "help" the filthy rich oil companies set up US drilling sites.  That in another thirty years won't do c**p for us... but we'll still be paying the bill from building them.

McCain and other Republican Senators have been trying to push through legislation to develop our own oil resources here in the U.S. for well over a decade.  The problem is the Democrats keep shooting the bills down in the name of protecting the environment.  Even though the oil companies have produced numerous studies to show that they can drill on U.S. soil and off of the U.S. shores with little or no impact to the environment, the Democrats haven't listened.  BOTTOM LINE:  The Dems are more concerned about inconveniencing animals than the money you're paying out of pocket for gasoline.

The price of foreign oil has driven the price of everything up, not just gas. Look what it has done to the airlines. Food prices are up, electricity is up, the cost of heating this winter will double. The price of everything has gone up. Reducing our dependency on foreign oil will provide all kinds of jobs and keep our energy costs low. McCain has the right idea. Obama will bury this country.
