McCain is gambling and even YOU republicans KNOW THIS. Sarah is picked simply to persuade undicided voters, such as Hillary's supporters whom 30% said will vote for Obama anyway. Now, Obama is another outspoken, achieved canididate that even McCain gave credit to his speech and debate skills to talk off about his experiences with McCain. But how will Sarah Palin beat Biden 30+ years of senate experience and foreign relations?

  1. that ***** wont mcCain just picked her to get hillary woman votes but the man is 73 years old give him a break.

  2. The same way Bush gained sympathy in the 2000 election - Biden will intelligently discuss the issues while Palin will struggle, so the Republicans will accuse Biden of being elitist simply for being educated.  This will work especially well if Palin responds to questions with a pouty face.

  3. Anyone, Democrat or Republican, who thinks that Governor Palin was chosen "simply" because she's a woman deserves to have their butts handed to them, as Senator Biden will in the VP debate.

Gov. Palin has a history of attacking establishment figures head-on, and defeating them.  The best place outside of D.C. in which to do this is Alaska, where politics have become more calcified than almost anywhere else in the country.  Her political resume includes sweeping out both a mayor and a governor in serious reform bids each time.  If John McCain's only message this year was "reform in Washington", then Palin would be the perfect running mate.

As far as shoring up his evangelical base, as many have noted that McCain needs to do, Palin is also an excellent choice.  She's a credible pro-life and pro-family feminist, who was given the choice to terminate her last pregnancy when it was discovered that her son would be born with Down Syndrome.  Although 9/10's of women elect to have an abortion in those cases, Palin kept her child, which has been an inspiration to women and families across the country.

As far as her symbolic appeal goes, she represents far more than just women in the GOP.  She, as well as Governor Jindal of Louisiana and even Governor Pawlenty of Minnesota, represents a new breed of Republican in this country.  They are the next generation, free of any taint from Washington and especially President Bush.  They remind us that "the future" doesn't just belong to the Democrats, but to all Americans.

  4. Palin's "...articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking..."

NOT a Lawyer and has really worked for a living on top of being a mom!

  5. Medea G, Palin is a hunter, has pulled the trigger on a moose, she's no daisy.  She has a son serving in Iraq, and is commander of the Alaska National Guard.  She's shown courage and judgment already by facing down corruption in the Republican party, and is under investigation out of a vindictive attitude from those who feel cheated out of the fruits of their corruption.  That courage and judgment will translate to the "kill switch", or as she prefers to call it, the trigger!

Sarah the Barracuda will do just fine in the debates, her unknown status will pay off big time.  Biden will  be pulling punches because he doesn't want to look like he's picking on a woman, and she will stand up for what's right, and will make sense to so many people!

30 years of senate experience does no good if you have the wrong ideas and are in the pocket of corruption.  Foreign relations experience does no good if you are have extremist liberal views on the importance of the U.S. on the world stage.  30 years of experience is good, but wasted when crossed with Biden's liberal ideas.

A fresh look from outside the Beltway will be so refreshing to this country!  I scoffed at the phrase "hope and change" because it was nebulous.  The word "reform" out of Sarah Palin's mouth based in her documented fight on corruption, gives me a real hope that ridiculous earmarks may face a challenge if we elect McCain/Palin.  I was lukewarm on the McCain vote, and pondered if I would be forced to vote a write-in candidate this time.  Obama's extremist views kept McCain as an option.  However, I'm truly excited about this ticket!

Hope and change, it's real to me now!!

  6. She won't, she paints Biden in a corner though, he really can't be as aggressive with her as he could be with someone like Romney or Pawlenty.

In the end, VP debates normally make little difference in the final outcome.

  7. Here's what Senators do:

They recieve bills to review and vote on.  They vote either 'yes" or "no' to those bill, normally based on their party lines.  Governors, they GOVERN.  She has more experience at what matters most than Biden, except for the foreign relations.  So, I say she sticks to her stregnths.  Biden is reknowned for saying too much and putting his foot in his mouth, and he'll do it in the debates.

  8. We now have a Republican VP candidate that has a lot more experience than the Democrat Presidential  candidate. I think that says a lot. As for Biden's 30+ years????????????????????? What has he reformed???????

  9. Biden will probably make Palin look incompetent and make her cry, which could backfire on Biden if people sympathize.  I'd put my money on Biden.

  10. Your question is obsurd!  You should be asking yourself how will Obama beat McCain's 20+ years in government - not to include his years of service to our country before that.  How can you even sit there with a straight face after seeing my comment knowing how dumb you sound now?  Get over yourself and just admit that Obama picked Biden to try and pull the undecided older, rich, corrupt white people - because that's all he is to begin with.

  11. No , McCain  has confidence in her she is no stranger to debates. I think she is going to give him a very worthy debate. I don't think he will be doing the same for her . We will all see.

  12. Thank you for posting this question and in all due respect to all

Are you people F****** kidding me?

Repubs need a reality check they obviously have no idea what is going on and I for one have lost all faith in the repub party

Just because she was part of her kids PTA meetings doesn’t mean she will be able to take over as the Commander in Chief she said HERSELF she has no idea what a VP does

Conservatives are trying to spoon feed us this garbage trying not to look bad again, SO WHAT she battled corruption in Alaska, as a governor. This is the friggen White House maybe she could get away with it in Alaska but not in Washington! That c**p will certainly not fly in the White House under, and history will prove a very corrupt Washington especially under the Neo-Conservative party.

What is she going to do? Run around Washington hunting bad guys? Lets be clear the bar guys run this country and that will certainly not be tolerated, they can’t have her snooping around arresting our Public Officials, and both parties should at least be on the same page about that.

So she was the runner up for Miss Alaska anddd this makes her qualified? I am having trouble understanding how she’s more qualified than Obama, but that’s another question. She was the head of the National Guard, or Alaska? Not offence but its not that big of an achievement stop blowing it up.

You rub enough War-related exploitations in our faces.

Am I the only one who sees this? Repubs have lost all sense of reality I don’t know what happened, we used to choose strong VPs It shows a lot about McCain, at least Democrats will defend this country responsibly not make a bunch of messes everywhere

I don’t trust her running anything much less the country, we know nothing about her and we are all jumping to conclusions all of a sudden everyone lovesssssssssssssss her its not like that this is too much repubs are trying to make their party look as big and excited as the democrats and it wont happen JM’s fate is sealed

    Singing out!

    -Dan

  13. "The landscape is littered with the bodies of those who crossed Sarah," says pollster Dave Dittman, who worked for her gubernatorial campaign.

  14. Palin will make Biden look like a school boy.

  15. She won't.  I have nothing against her and I am sure she is a fine Governor but I don't' think she is ready to be president.  I don't care if she is ready to be VP, I care if she is ready to order the "kill switch" if necessary.

A president needs to be ready to bomb an elementary school if necessary.  A president needs to be ready to kill a community if necessary and I don't think she has that.  Obama could die of a heart attack but McCain is more likely so the VP has to fill the shoes and I don't think she can do it.

  16. Biden is a show-off who is not as smart as he thinks he is.

He has a habit of talking himself into corners because he talks too much.

He is a lawyer who gets too complicated and he gets too nitty-gritty on foreign affairs.

    Biden makes eyes glaze over.

There are other areas where he has no idea what he's talking about. None.

Palin is smart and has beaten down better men than Biden.

    No one should misunderestimate her.

  17. She is a BULLDOG & Took on Republican Corrupton in Her Own State to beat the Incumbent -- and is the ONLY Governor to visit and assess ANWAR - to make a sound decision.

The McCain Campaign KNOWS What They are doing.

Could it backfire - SURE !!

But, their Other Option was to "Play it Safe" - but that they figure that Strategy, may not be enough.

Obama is for "Change" - YET !! -- he picks a Self-Confessed Extreme Liberal, who has been playing Washington Politics since 1973 --

    Is That Change ????

Don't worry about the Polls - They will go Up & Down.

Just Wait for the Final Count.

But, this decision was VERY WELL THOUGHT OUT - and Even the Democrats on Caught Off-Guard.

Her Speech on Friday is said to have Stole the "Thunder" of Obama's Speech on Thursday.

This Strategy is Genius - You just have to hang in there to see WHY.

Though she Has only been Governor, since 2006 - She has MORE Executive Experience than Obama has in 4 years

  18. She will do it with grace, class, and intellect. All things Biden does not have.
