  1. Hey, that's not true that French people hate everything that's not French ! (although it is true that many French people don't speak English all that well... so it makes them feel much better if the foreigners can speak French...)

It's hard to answer your question, since I'm a native French. However, I don't think you will have any problem. Just behave like you would anywhere else, and everything will be fine.

  2. Parisians pretty much dislike people who are not the french. Although they might be rude to you why not just smile back?? Why should you smile back to a person who is rude you? Well Just because someone is rude to one person, that one person shouldnt be rude back. People will like you for who you are and others will not like you. I've realized that mexicans are alot nicer than people from other countries! Of course there are nice people from those other countries. Americans are really nice too! Pues nos vemos y cuidate mucho!

  3. I actually went to France . & Paris is nothing but French speaking NewYork City. Paris is kinda stuck up. They concider a hispanic, just another American, so just say bonjour, and dont frustrate them

  4. No matter where you go, be it Paris, France or Paris, Texas you risk running into fools who judge people by the color, their race, or their nationality. Such people are worthless no matter where you encounter them and should simply be ignored.

The French are no worse (or better) than any other people and nothing in my 35 years experience of traveling to Paris on a regular basis gives me any reason to believe differently.

I am a person of mixed Asian/English ancestry who is often mistaken for a Mexican where I live in Texas (oddly, the people who make this mistake are usually of Mexican ancestry themselves.) I have always been treated courteously in France and I am sure you will be too.

  5. It doesn't really matter where you are from, just don't be rude and try to be as polite as possible.

Even though they might be rude to you [happened alot to me because...well...not saying why, but because of how i talked and where i am from] be the bigger person.

Also, when i went, i was treated kinder when i tried to speak french.

  6. Well it's said that French hate pretty much everyone that's not French, so if you're not French they'll probably be really rude. If you can you should pretend to be French.

  7. You must speak English in Paris and the people in Paris will understand you.
