A friend recommended the passion vine to provide visual barrier on the chain link fence between my neighbor's house and mine. I am interested in something that will grow quickly, be attractive to the eye but not get out of control with growth. It'll be under some shade and during the winter months there are occasional frosts.

  1. Passion vine should do pretty well. The frost will knock it back some but it should recover as long as you don't have a hard freeze. Remember that they are fast, rampant growers that will smother nearby trees if you don't control them. Good news is that they will take a heavy pruning, no problem.
