How will an English guy be recieved in Canada (Ottawa)?

I'm doing a year's exchange, and was just wondering what my general reception will be like. A broad question, i know, but anything you can think of....cheers! X

I think that your question reveals a bit about how the British population regards newcomers.............In a negative light , yes ?

Canada is not that way, at all. We get thousands of newcomers, from all parts  of the world, every year, so its not something that we take much notice of.

Ottawa is great clean city with lots to do. You will enjoy it.

Canadians definitely love people from the UK! And girls will definitely love your accent! I'm telling you, pretty much anywhere in North America you'll get lots of positive attention because of your accent :)

You'll have no problems whatsoever.  If you're referring to your Englishness vis a vis French English historical relations, then you're also going to have no problems.
