I've received an "unavailable" number (not private or restricted) on my phone. Do overseas DSN numbers show up as unavailable?

  1. they can, yeah.  or they could show up as a local number, or the number of nearby base...

  2. Losing,

They showed up as 'unavailable' on my phone at Subase Bangor. For some reason the 314 and 315 numbers (sort of like area codes) don't work within the system's caller ID.

    "Ranger"

  3. When my husband was deployed it would show up as "Unavailable", a 314 area code, or just a random state like "Missouri".

  4. They will most probably show up as either the homland base's operators number, or the overseas base's operators phonenumber. But you can get a phone number with an extension or something from the person who is overseas. my father gave me a phone number with a special extention to reach him at overseas...

  5. it all depends... usually they can show up as anything, it all depends on the base and which phone u used that kinda stuff

  6. it all depends on where they are stationed on deployment and what type of phone they are using.
