I've just starting running more and getting stronger, but still trying to loose about 15 more lbs. I've been running 5 miles everyother day and 10 miles every other day, 5 on my lunch break and 5 in the evening. Will I get better results running all 10 miles at once or is okay to break it up like that?? I also lift 3-4 days a week on the days I only run 5 miles. Sunday cheat day on my diet

  1. you can break up your runs, definatly! i actually think u may loose a lil MORE weight by doing it that way, because it takes your body so much energy just to work up to that point.. its like intervals, ya know?  they say running for a minute than walking than running produces the same results if not more than just running the whole time.. think about it, your body speeds up, slows down so it works more to do that versus keeping a steady pace at running.. congrats for you tho, thats dedication!!

  2. try dancing change your routine your body is used to the workout you are doing now. You need to change things up make it harder don't keep the same pace everyday

  3. no hun dont pressure urself. u need excersize 30 minutes a day and thats it. just stay away from sweets and bread. thats all.

  4. don't cheat on sunday (said the pot to the kettle) and it doesn't matter if you break it up like that. some advice i would give would be to run 5 miles right after you get done lifting, you will burn so many more cals that way. also,  if you load up on protein within 45 mins. after your run, as long as it's at least 2 hrs. before bedtime, you can do another 5 miler in the morning first thing when you get up, this will also go a lot farther towards burning fat and cals than a lunchbreak run will. hope this advice helps. good luck with the weight loss.
