  1. Well since the polar bear populations are increasing it looks like it is a good deal for them. The GW folks tend to use scare tactics such as "all the polar bears are dying" to get the gullible to buy into the hoax. The truth is that out of the 14 colonies of polar bears the Canadian scientists have been studying 12 of them have increased in numbers while the other two have stayed about the same.

  2. they won't have ice to cruise around on in 10 - 15 years

  3. Global Warming probably wont effect the polar bears because the earth has been heating and cooling for years and if there was only 1 ice age millions of years ago when there weren't humans around how do we effect it?

  4. The bears are getting angry... and they're organizing.

Troops have been seen as far south as Toronto posing as Baby Seal Fur Traders

  5. Global Warming destroys artic animal's habitats, both in the north and south pole, and later on it will affect all the continents we know. Apparently polar bears are being killed off, scientists for the first time have found them drowning in the oceans.

  6. They, as well as Santa, survived the last warming period.  They'll survive this one.

  7. It really won't make them die.

  8. they will be trapped between the melting ice and the oil prospectors moving north. in previous interglacials, there was no competition from people, as sewing had not been invented and we hadn't got up to the cold places yet.

they will eat berries etc. but couldn't live on them sucessfully like their cousins the brown bear as they have evolved to eat meat and are a lot bigger.

  9. Well, considering their numbers have been shown to be increasing and they're not on the verge of extinction, I'd say they're doing alright.

  10. Polar bears enviromont consists of large iceburgs that they live and fish on. Unfortunatley, global warming is causing those iceburgs to melt and break of the ice. Polar bears a beginning to starve because they cannot get to their food, and if all the ice melts, that means all polar bears die. Good question, though. :)

  11. Many people get their "science" from movies.  Movies are for _+entertainment+_.

Polar bears have survived many hundreds of years through all the 'climate shifts' so far, and they will survive this one, IF ONLY PEOPLE WILL  LET THEM.

Anthropogenic global warming (AKA 'climate shift' or 'climate change') is pure bull.

Here is truth about global warming:

Global warming is one-half of the climatic cycle of warming and cooling.

The earth's mean temperature cycles around the freezing point of water.

This is a completely natural phenomenon which has been going on since there has been water on this planet. It is driven by the sun.

Our planet is currently emerging from a 'mini ice age', so is

becoming warmer and may return to the point at which Greenland is again usable as farmland (as it has been in recorded history).

As the polar ice caps decrease, the amount of fresh water mixing with oceanic water will slow and perhaps stop the thermohaline cycle (the oceanic heat 'conveyor' which, among other things, keeps the U.S. east coast warm).

When this cycle slows/stops, the planet will cool again and begin to enter another ice age.

It's been happening for millions of years.

The worrisome and brutal predictions of drastic climate effects are based on computer models, NOT CLIMATE HISTORY.

As you probably know, computer models are not the most reliable of sources, especially when used to 'predict' chaotic systems such as weather.

    Global warming/cooling, AKA 'climate change':

    Humans did not cause it.

    Humans cannot stop it.

  12. heat melts ice...... their not called polar bears for nothing..... they depend on the ice..... polar bears live on the ice... as the temperature increases, more and more of the polar ice melts thus leaving polar bears hanging in open water.... even though polar bears are exceptional swimmers, they get tired too and drown..... discovery channel can back me up with this.....

  13. Santa is a MYTH! AGW is not! The polar bears depend on the ice to be able to hunt for seals. Without the thick ice, they will starve! They can't hunt in the open water. They wait by a breathing hole in the ice to snag a seal as it comes up to breath at the hole. That is the way they've hunted since time began. They cannot adapt as fast as their habitat is changing.  We have NO right to harm their environment!

  14. Hahaha,,,my stupid question,,,Seriously,,,

Global Warmings effect has serious consequences for all living organisms, but it is of especially great concern for the polar bear. According to the U.S. Geological Survey Office, reduction in sea ice in the Arctic can see a loss of 2/3rds of the entire word’s Polar Bear population over the next 50 years. There are an estimated 20,000 Polar Bears in the wild and they depend upon the arctic weather for their livelihood. Today, there are many accounts of Polar Bear, global warming deaths attributed to drowning. The Polar Bear is doomed if something isn’t done to reverse the dangers of global warming. Polar Bears depend upon the natural habitat of the Arctic, however global warming has contributed to the growing loss of Arctic Ice. In fact, polar bears have been photographed clinging to tiny ice formations as their natural environment simply melts away, leaving them at the mercy of a climate that they cannot survive in.
