  1. I'd like to consider helping but I don't know what those initials stand for.

  2. ICT means Information and Communications Technology in this context. Here is an example of one project in Ghana which seems to be involved in ICT centers, http://www.cblit.org/1/projects_Apirede_... Here is a list of their sponsors http://www.cblit.org/1/sponsors.htm with links to them. They include The African Women's Development Fund (AWDF) http://www.awdf.org/pages/?pid=2&sid=24 The OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) http://www.opecfund.org/  The Open Society Institute (OSI) (George Soros) http://www.soros.org/about UNICEF http://www.unicef.org/ and The World Bank http://www.worldbank.org/

  3. Where are you? In what county and what city? UNESCO is doing great work regarding establishing community technology centers -- contact your nearest UNESCO office. .

Also visit the Digital Divide Network (google it) and see what contacts they may have.

Be ready to talk about what your community is willing to provide (a building, for instance? Organizations want to partner with communities, with the community itself providing some of the funding or labor required for an initiative, to show that the community is truly invested in this)
