How will i get over this embarrassment?

it was this class project in school...we had this so-called song interpretation dance...then our section won..for our prize..we had to perform the same routine again..here's the problem. we had this partner walking down the aisle thing..when me and my partner walked on the aisle...almost all my batchmates teased us..and knowing myself as a shy person..i tried to hide myself but my batchmates misunderstood me.they thought that i'm a "suplada" person and said that i've changed my personality!HELP!!! that's not what i meant to do!

They are just jealous.  Let them know that a little thing like winning is not going to change you.  Tell them if you win the lottery, now you might have to change a bit, but for now you are the same person you were the day before the contest, just happy that you were given the opportunity to compete, and a little nervous about the whole experience.
