  1. it would cause a low ball flight (that's if the ball even gets off the ground) that will possibly go anywhere.

  2. Moving the ball back closer to your back foot with a Driver will only create  problems Big problems more than you want .With the Driver the ball is best played just inside the left  instep, hands in line with the ball or a fraction behind  ,if you play right handed ,the object of the strike with the driver is to hit through the ball on the up stroke. We wont go into what happens if you move the ball back to your "  as you say back foot" it would make a old man cry.

If you can have a lesson with your  GOLF PRO  it will save you a lot of grief

Moving the ball back with mid to short irons  wil help, in fact  that is how to play them.

Moving the ball back but not back further than the middle of your stance and your hands should be just in front of the ball at address this will promote a downward strike,Ball First Turf Second. This will give a good high flight to your iron shot.

    BUT NEVER with your DRIVER.

The ball can be placed  further back than centre but that is for other clubs and shots.NOT THE DRIVER.

Enjoy your golf and keep it on the short grass.

  3. The only time i can see that as an advantage is if it is high wind and you want to keep your #5 driver low without it going as long as a 1 or 3 driver

  4. Ball will stay lower, on account of the club-head angle at impact.  Will fly shorter due to lower head-speed.  May slice in the first part of the swing, and hook in the second, if you can't keep a club swing straight!  Experiment!

  5. The ball flight will be much lower than normal. The farther back you move the ball with any club the lower the flight. It will also slice a bit. It will not go fat or thin because you are hitting off a tee.
