  1. Wow, gee, I hope they tell us.

  2. they won't have time, if you see a mushroom cloud, we're being attacked, pretty self explanatory.

  3. they will interrupt your programing and tell you  that were going to be nuked

  4. Well, I would assume that they would break into regular programming to announce the news. Even the cable channels will run script across the bottom of the screen announcing it, as happened during 911.

Alternatively, if all the channels in you and your neighbour's houses go dead..and there is one or more mushroom clouds on the horizon...it is safe to assume we are under nuclear attack. It might be some time before regular programming resumes, so I wouldn't wait around for the TV to start working again.

Lastly, a really REALLY bright flash in the sky is another sign of nuclear attack, if that happens it would be best to seek shelter within the next few seconds before the blast wave arrives, rather than wait for the TV announcement.

So I wouldn't be too worried, you aren't going to miss WW3 because you were watching old Stargate reruns. Phew.

    Hope this helped. :)
