How will people taste in 14 years?

Soylent Green...finally after all the hype I saw it. And it makes me wonder, why is it beyond anyone's understanding that it's made of people. You would think the truck drivers would have a clue.

Can our society handle it if we were to start to wonder how to make people chips and people dip?

  1. "everything in this room is edible, even I'm edible, but that would be cannibalism"

  2. salty with a slice of confusion

  3. hickory goodness

    lol

  4. if you eat people, you may become sick from a disease they were carrying. livestock poultry and such animals that we consume are very carefully monitored.

if no one can setup a people eating farm that monitors for all these diseases, it will never happen.

  5. Our society will not be able to handle it. We would all go crazy. at least i think. i could go into more detail but i wont

  6. Well, the world is supposed to end in 2012.

Which I do believe that in someway.....

But I would say we would just have that chickeny taste like we do now, ha no, I haven't eaten a human. But if you bite your arm you just have a taste in your mouth. Some people can't indentify it. But I taste like chicken.

    Don't eat me.

And if this world started eating people than more and more would go into jail for murder, and we'd go into a stage to where the population would be going down. And we'd eat the world to an end.

    How sad....

  7. I've always read that human meat is even better than animal.  Of course, I can hardly eat animal meat these days, so I don't think anybody around me is in danger.

    Plant more spinach!!!

    ;o)

  8. Once meat is chopped and dried and flavoured, it can taste like whatever you want to taste like. Surely you must have eaten meat once and wondered exactly what meat it was?

  9. American society, I doubt it. Although I'd bet we would taste pretty good considering all the junk food we eat.

There are some societies in the world that practice cannibalism for one reason or another; sometimes it has to do with war, sometimes with death, although of course they don't make people chips and dip.

You would also have to be careful of disease.  Some illnesses can't be killed no matter how long you cook the meat. For example, mad cow disease, which has a human variant called Kreutzfeldt-Jacob Disease. (Did I get that right?)

Anyway, I guess we like to think of ourselves as civilized, and only barbaric African or Amerindian tribes practice such things. But ... remember the Donner Party? If not, Wikipedia it!
