How will prison affect him? (Info about how prisons are would be helpful too)?

I'm writing a character (28 years old, male, perfectionist, introverted used to work in economics) who goes to prison (due to sexual activities with a 10-12 years old girl)

Please help with info about the environment at prisons and which consequences may it have on him.

As a prison guard

I can tell you that given his crime prison will be extremely difficult

inmates who sexual assault minors are often treated the worst by other inmates, they get shanked, raped, beaten, and robbed.  Inmates have no tolerance for child molestors....absolutely none

If he's introverted the constant torment of other inmates will only make it worse for him, its hard not to socialize in a prison atmosphere, and even harder to earn time off because it requires working with others, and the others will start **** with him because of his crime.....

his former employment will mean little because he won't get a chance to make use of it, today's prisons are nothing like the shawshank redemption, wardens don't make use of prisoners....

he would have a very hard time in prison for sure
