8-8...with some luck is possible. I see Alex Smith becoming a soild quarterback under Mike Martz, but it wouldn't be early on in the season. Please, keep your eye on Smith development this season, he will be vast improved from 2007, and with a above average offensive line things could start to take shape in SF. I truly think that Frank Gore will go back to this 2006 form and create mismatches all over the field, plus we added Issac " I'm old, but great" Bruce and that is a upgrade over Darrall Jackson, who should be out of football.
The Defense will be top 10. Patrick Willis is the best middle linebacker in the game. THE BEAST!!!
