  1. did the USA always count this way?.. seems not as certain as some may think.. see the links in this question posed earlier today.. thanks to Momochi...

    http://au.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind...

which clearly show The US of A counting by gold in 2004...

  2. Does it really matter, US will beat GB and Australia for sure and as long as the US beats those petty crybabies, all is good.

  3. Maybe they could do it by which country has won most golds by cheats, i think America might do well in that one.

  4. the same way thjey always ranked them, by total medals, the way it should be. it's called a medal count. to ignore silver and bronze medals would be rediculous

hey rattycat, only one newspaper, the USA today, counted by gold medals in 2004, and guess what? they counted by gold in 2008 too! did youi not even look at jeef in dallas' links? no, because they gave you an answer you didn't want to hear, they gave you the truth. the US media has been ranking countries by total medals since i was a kid, and that's the way it's going to stay

  5. They could always tally up endorsement dollars!

  6. they will dismiss that by saying that chinese athletes were trained in a system that aims to get medals rather then on athletics overall. or something like that.

but it doesn't matter, all the medias are biased towards their own countries, better not listen to their BS and just watch the games and ENJOY THE OLYMPICS.

  7. They just won't show the table as much.

Oh, and they would call the entire Chinese team underaged and lambast the Chinese for their human rights record, and so on.

  8. Why don't you read the question right above this one, it may give you an answer to this immature pathetic whiny question.

There is also a new section for medal tally questions yahoo came up with:

btw, if you foreigners had half a brain, you would see US has always tallied medals the same way, maybe one of your immature crybaby friend told you they changed from year to year, not true.

  9. It would depend on the media outlet.  There's not a conspiracy going on, believe it or not.

Lists the medals by gold.  Maybe we should all switch over to google.

  10. If they feel threatened they'll just not turn up like the Olympics in Moscow in 1980.

(But the excuse given was because USSR invaded Afghanistan which they'd tell you is nothing like USA invading Iraq.)

  11. lets not get 2 far ahead of ourself, These Olympics just ended, you can start arguments in 4 years if you like
