  1. Donald Trump's new place has a very nice restaurant.  He had hired a 5 star chef and had a very inspired menu.  Due to the ecomony he's changed the whole thing.  He decided against the chef and stripped down his menu and the most expensive thing on his menu is now a $39 T Bone steak.

That's just one example.  Things are looking down in Vegas

  2. I love Roxy's Diner in the Stratosphere!! It great food for a small price.

  3. Honestly I know nothing about the restaurants in Vegas.

I've heard that due to the staggering economy, a lot of people are eating out less than before.  Also, they're cutting back on what they spend by how much they order at the restaurants.  For example, people may no longer purchase appetizers or desserts.  These really hurt restaurants, because they're the big money makers, not the main entrees.  Restaurants that have a full-service bar or offer mixed cocktails are taking a hit as well.  People aren't buying as many cocktails or alcoholic beverages.

Servers are taking a hit due to people cutting back on tipping.  Usually a customer might tip 15 to 20%, but in some cases they may have to cut back on that as well.  Due to low sales, restaurants are having to reduce the staff in one of two ways:  either cut back everyone's hours, or else lay off several employees.
