If you didn't watch the practice sessions yesterday for the Sprint Cup Race at the Brickyard well tires were wearing down really quick and usually after a few laps the rubber goes into the grooves of the track, it didnt seem to do that and tires were wearing down in like 10 laps or so......How will it effect the race? Record number or cautions? They say its because of the COT(Car of tomorrow)

  1. It will probably help the more experienced drivers, that know how to "manage" their tires.

    Stewart?

    Burton?

    Martin?

  2. My senses tell me...

Johnson will win...Edwards will give him a challenge..

Hamlin will surge at the end, merely to lose with a pit stop

Gordon will conserve after being affected by big time tire wear.... He will finish 5th...Johnson will have the DOMINANT car and kiss the bricks for a 2nd time...

    HAHAHAHAH...that was funny

  3. We are gonna see more than usual amount of blow outs and crashing into the wall...I think nascar should let firestone or hoosier enter next year...I,m sure we will hear it from tony s. again!!!!

  4. i'm gonna watch and find out

  5. there will be alot of cautions. you will see alot of blown tires and people hitting the wall.

  6. Dale Jr will crash hard

  7. It will be a long terrible race but Jimmie Johnson will be in victory lane !

  8. caution every 10 laps

  9. rubber will melt and the cars lose their grip and power. You may see a lot of sliding in the turns and into the sidewalls. The drivers will sense this and compensate by lowering their speed and you will see a closer and tighter race b/c the speeds will decrease and the speed advantage of overall hp will be neutralized. Should be interesting racing.

  10. The best tire savers will do well. 17,24,20 and the 48 comes to mind. The 18 does not. He races every lap like it is the last.

Having said that. I think as the race goes on and the grooves are filled with rubber he will win.
