  1. Hopefully they will make it to the play offs or even better. Go leafs!!!!

  2. Better, but they won't make the playoffs untill 09-10 season, only because of all the young talent they'll get, then they will be back to the way they used to be. Maybe Mike Myers will be right and they'll win the cup in 2011, lol.

  3. with a new coach? They're DOOMED!

  4. Can you say First pick of the draft? Seriously... You have to take a step back before moving forward when rebuilding. Wilson said that he expects that to happen. He will spend time this year evaluating the players and decding which ones fit into his style of play, then build around those players as neccessary. It will take few years to get back  to competing for the playoffs.

  5. They won't do any worse than they have the last three years.

They will finish around 8th to 10th in the east. Might squeeze into the playoffs but will be a much younger team than last year (even if Mats re-signs).

Wilson and Fletcher are attempting to change the attitude within the dressing room. If they are successful watch for a drastic turn around and improvement in team results.

Too much emphasis is placed on high draft picks. No one wins the Stanley Cup because of their high draft picks. In fact the opposite is true. High draft picks leads to increased mediocrity.

  6. Finish 9th or 10th in the east

  7. Well they are rebuilding from scratch.. again. They have stripped down their team to mostly young players with very little experience, and in my opinion their isn't a lot of skill. It really doesn't look like they have plans on making the playoffs this season.

  8. I can sympathize with the frustration their fans go through year after year .. but even if Sundin comes back (although I hear he is gonna sing for a Swedish tribute band that sings songs of Midnight Oil) they won't be any better than last year. Raycroft allowed a few too many soft goals and without Tucker they won't be as aggresive, so I predict a 34 - 45 - 5 season. I don't see them in the cellar though (have the Isles there) so all this Tavares hype will b4not unless they trade up which doesn't seem 2b in their plans
