  9. Recession, what recession? the house prices & sales have slowed but i haven't noticed anything else. BTW where are you? If the states then i thought the 4rse dropped out of the dollar way before we were supposed to have our "credit crunch" (available in 4 flavours Steve)

Edit: so you are in England? which is IN th UK? so where are you talking about it being with us before the end of 2008?

Edit: well thanks for the dedication Firstly, where on any of those reports ( i could have found them in the sun btw but thanks for trying to look intelligent by going to the times) does it say we are IN a recession? Secondly as i pointed out in my first edit: you are not making any sense.

  10. I was born in the 1930's and lived through the last War and the years after it.  It was good training for life if you survived it.

I shall cope as I have always coped, whatever they chuck at me, as will the others of my generation.

I don't know how well my grandchildren, who have been accustomed to having everything they want, will ride out the storm if threatened higher prices and lower availability of luxuries become apparent.

  11. Not sure as am not psychic

  13. We might lose our jobs, our currency will be weaker, imports will cost more, iweak currency might help exports, lenders will have no confidence so borrowing will be difficult or expensive, most of us will be worse off financially. Some will use it as an opportunity to buy assets at knock down prices.

  14. May not be wise to sell your house about now, and fuel and food prices may continue to rise. Provided you dont work for a business that could be affected by poor sales, you shouldn't have to worry about redundancy either...
