  1. Middle Class teenagers will be driven out of vehicle ownership due to rising insurance costs(unrelated to the question), rising cost of ownership due to tighter vehicle regulation by the government(unrelated to the question again), and massive gas prices.

I didn't own a vehicle until I was 25, because I knew full well I couldn't afford 3000/yr for gas and 3000/yr for insurance and whatever dollar value for pollution testing and repairs related to that testing on top of car payments.

The 'adults' answering here are immature spoiled brats who got to grow up back when gas was cheap, insurance was cheap, cars were cheap to get own and maintain, and it didn't matter that you were making minimum wage if all you wanted to do was go for a drive.

  2. If they can afford the insurance surely they can afford the gas! Who gets paid less than 10 dollars an hour?

  3. petrol prices are only affecting us broke c u n t s.  you think any executives could care less if they have to pay double or triple price. just makes you want to riot and burn down all the petrol stations a.

  4. probably forever.... in one way or another.

  5. Many adults work for less than 10.00 an hour and have to pay alot more outta pocket than teens, so get you priority's straight, McDonalds all week or gas in your tank.

  6. My friend's 18 year old daughter is screaming about not having money for gas, but as soon as she gets paid, she blows it on new clothes.

She's forced to stay home more now because she doesn't have money for gas.  LOL!!!  I just think it's funny.

  7. Teenagers will have to get used to carpooling or walking/biking to work.

Gas prices are not going to go down, and food prices; shipping & handling on online purchases; dvds; video games; general merchandise; cosmetics; soap; etc. are all going to go up to compensate for the rising fuel.

The only way to reduce these costs is if we demand alternatives to gasoline, and truck drivers go on strike, but with everyone working just to put food on their plate I don't see a strike in the immediate future.

  8. Teen employment in the US is in a decline. Most of the spoiled punks spend too much time playing Xbox or some other gaming platform.

Higher gas prices will cause teens to stop driving excessive miles cruising around just to hang out in a parking lot somewhere.

They'll instead stay at home and beg mom or dad to take them to WalMart so that mom/dad can blow more of their money of the latest gam or another iPod.

    Ungreatful, spoiled little teens...
