  1. Yes!  And remember than if everyone took small steps it would add up to a big difference!  You don't have to be a tree huggin' hippie to make a difference.  Simple steps like reusable bags, walking when you can and some friendlier cleaners are things that will make all the difference.  And lets face it, doing these things won't hurt at all in the long run, even if they don't end up helping as much as we would like.

  2. Yes it does make a difference and it will improve your way of life too since these products don't have the harmful ingrediants in them. I recently became a member of melaleuca.com where I purchase all of my green products. I don't really trust what's in the grocerty stores as being "green" If your interested in becoming a member email me at greenliving2008@hotmail.com. Or if you want to check it out first the web address is www.melaleuca.com and click on "take the tour"

  3. Well one thing is for sure, someone will make money off of your fear.

  4. Your buying eco friendly products probably won't make a dimes worth of difference. In fact they can be counter productive. Imagine all the gas you might waste driving across town to get an eco product when you could walk to the corner store and get what you need to do the job. That little bit of difference you will make by buying that special soap vs that regular soap is not even measurable.

  5. Every little bit helps. Every little thing you recycle helps. Every light you turn off helps. Every car that gets a little better gas milage helps. Because, I'm doing it to! When we add up all those little things, it make a big difference. See the search site "blackle". It saves a little bit of energy just by having a black screen. (All black means low projected light. A lot less energy than googles white background. And you can see how much accumulative energy you and other have saved, which equals less fossil fuels and therefore greenhouse gases!) Every green product you buy puts less poison into the environment. So cleaner air, water and bodies. Here's an example: If you recycle an aluminum can, it only takes%10 of the original %100 of energy used to mine and refine aluminum to make it into cans again. 90% is a lot of savings! Energy for the creation of everything is derived from fossil fuels, Everything around you right now. Even if its a glass. The machines use to make it run of electricity which comes from coal plants. And it was distributed in a big truck. Even antibiotics, are derived from oil. It all helps. Every little bit you do adds up. Just don't think, why should I recycle this can? How can one can help? Just remember, there's a vast army of millions people out there doing it too! Don't disempower yourself with those thoughts. You are a lot more powerful and influential than you think you are capable of. So paying a few cents more for organic so you don't get hormones, genetically modified fruits and vegetables, or food that has been irradiated is a good idea. And going to farmers markets are good too. You keep the money in the USA, you support your local farmers, the viriety is better, and it isn't trucked in from far away. People think the earth is infinite, but it's not. It's resources are finite. So sustainable ways of living are the future. We are all interconnected in a very real way in this way of looking at it. That's why I try to be cool with everyone and do my part. Cause if I don't I'm hurting myself as well as the other person, animal etc... It's all about working with the earth. Not forcing it to do what we want with chemicals. And the funny thing is, we get better results with the sustainable, green way. Why do you think there is so much cancer? Our environment has become so toxic, we are dying. And our children are developing sexually faster because the hormones they give to cattle stay in the meat. Then our children eat it and their bodies are effected. So feel empowered! There's lots of us that are with you! We can make a difference! (^_^) Either way, good luck to you in everything you go for. I hope this helps. I suggest checking out some of the TED Talks at www.ted.com Search sustainability and green, that should get you started on understanding it all better. Later!

  6. Cleaner environment and conservation of resources.

  7. The world will benefit by:

    1. Reduction in carbon emissions, "green house gasses" which negatively affect the quality of air we breathe as well as wear the ozone layer very thin. Carbon emissions get trapped in our atmosphere because the ozone layer acts as (one of?) the barriers between us & outer space. This buildup of CO2 leads to increased temperatures, increasingly bizarre weather patterns (more storms) and mass climate confusion. The general trend seems to be that the temperature rises by at least one degree on average each decade. This may not seem like much, but that sets entire ecosystems off balance! The jet streams in weather patterns have also moved, which is why you may have had unusual weather patterns in your area over the past few years.

    2. the eco-movement gets people to be grateful for what they have.

Making do is something America and the planet needs to do more of.

    3. Less waste is easier for everyone in the long run. Less is more. We will someday have more time for better things to fill up our days with other than buying stuff that we don't actually need.

    4. Every little bit makes a difference. The MOST HARMFUL THING TO THE ENVIRONMENT is that person who thinks "well other people are recycling, but I don't need to because so many other people are already." It takes unity to create change.

    5. The more eco-friendly products there are now, and the more people there are who buy them, the faster they will matriculate (acclimate) into society, the more common they will become as other companies follow suit in producing eco-friendly goods, which helps the movement to arrive faster, and the world to be a better place.

    hope this helps!
