How will this work when my son starts kindergarten?

hi, my son is graduating from his vpk preschool class in june, and in august he will be staring kindergarten. so, will his daycare be able to shuttle him to and from school? will it cost me more, even though he is school most of the day? how long is a typical kindergarten day? 7am until 2:30pm? i am only asking cuz i would like to know from others expiarances

most kindergardens now days are full day soo my best suggestion is send him to latchkey before and after school if you need day care it cost alot less about 50 dollars a week a belive for both before and after school

Well it all depends on whether or not his Preschool does shuttle service. Some do and some don't. They do charge for this and before care and aftercare of school. Some Kindy programs are parttime and others are fulltime. Usually between 3-6 hours a day.

it all depends on transportation and your time...make sure he wants to go to school and see if their are any after school programs!

Contact the day care to see what services they offer. You will also need to contact the school he will be attending to find out what his daily schedule will be. You can take it from there.
