I am from the United States.  I'm not a HUGE patriot, but I did proudly serve in my country's Navy for 4 years.  I also stand at attention any time the National Anthem is played.  I am currently on working on becoming a Federal Police Officer to further serve my country :)

USA.  I think love for country is misplaced love.  One should serve, respect, support, and mind one's country.  One should love one's spouse.

I have been known to participate in pro-social activities and to put up some small American flags in classrooms where I teach.  But I'm well aware that only some patriots wave flags, and not all flag-wavers are patriots.

I'm an Australian. I always vote thoughtfully (It is compulsory to vote but nothing could stop me misvoting if I wanted to) I spend time in the environment of my country. I watch the Anzac Day march, gamble once a year on that day and buy a beer for any defence vets I see on said day. And, of course, drink too  much whilst playing two-up.I go to Big Day Out on Australia day.  I teach English, incorporating as many Australian texts as I can. I embrace the indiginous culture of many students I teach. I watch Australian films and tv shows and read Australian authors. I discourage the use of Americanisms in my classroom. I go swimming at the beach most christmases and have a barbequed lunch with my family. Oh, I also watch the footy (league, AFL and soccer). I
